Jeffrey L. Susi

Susi recently retired as President and CEO of Indian River Medical Center. Jeff led the transformation of IRMC from a community hospital to full-service medical center with more than 300 affiliated physicians representing 41 specialties. Improvements under his tenure include the addition of a new Emergency Department, Sheridan Intensive Care Unit, Waxlax Recovery Room, and Patient Pavilion. Service line enhancements include opening The Heart Center affiliated with Duke Health, and completion of the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center. The Scully-Welsh Cancer Center, also an affiliated Duke health program, providing access to national clinical trials. jeff has more than 30 years of leadership experience in non-profit hospitals, including large Catholic systems and major teaching hospitals. He also has direct patient care experience having worked as a physical therapist early in his career.
